How to use: If you feel like you need a good scrub down, apply to dry skin and rub all over, using circular motions, or for a gentler buff, use on damp skin in the shower. FAQ ALERT! What’s the difference between the Original Ocean Salt formula and Self-Preserving?  The overall function they have is the same and both will provide that scrubby exfoliation. The main difference you may find is in how they feel on application. Reformulating Ocean Salt depended on successfully making the most of salt’s natural antimicrobial properties. Using salt means that the material that is antimicrobial is also of benefit to the skin. It’s a great example of how self-preserving ingredients also provide an effective result!
As a bonus in creating Ocean Salt Self-Preserving - it also made it vegan! This is due to removing the lanolin and synthetic emulsifiers and replacing them with silken tofu and Japan wax.
