Policosanol is a mixture of natural substances extracted from the waxy coating of sugarcane stems and leaves. It consists of a group of high molecular weight (20-36 carbon) aliphatic primary alcohols.

More than 60 clinical trials confirmed that Policosanol is effective in lowering cholesterol. It lowers both total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol, which is the less desirable cholesterol. At the same time, Policosanol may increase the level of'good' HDL cholesterol.

Ingredients & Excipients

Sugarcane wax alcohols 10mg per tablet.

Contains no salt, lactose, sucrose, gluten, yeast, artificial preservatives, flavours, colours or animal products.

Dose & Administration

Take 1 tablet (10mg) daily in the evening. It can be increased to 2 tablets a day.
Study shows no significant benefit for taking more than 20mg a day.

Cautions/Contra-Indications

Not recommended for pregnant and breast-feeding women.
