Basmati Rice.
Pre-cooking: Rinse the rice thoroughly. Open pan: 6 cups of water for 1 cup of rice1: In a large cooking pot, bring water to a rolling boil. 2: Add the drained rice and stir gently.3: Cook uncovered for 20 minutes of medium heat. Drain and rinse with more boiling water. 4: Strain the excess water and serve. Closed pan: 3 cups of water for 1 cup of rice1: Bring water and rice to boil. 2: Cover pan with a tight lid and let it simmer for 25 minutes.3: Remove from heat and allow it to stand covered for 5 minutes. FOR BEST RESULTS:Soak the rice for 2 hours in lukewarm water prior to cooking.
