For the cake
2 eggs
60g unsalted soft butter
150mL milk
For the icing
40g unsalted soft butter
20mL milk
20cm x 7cm deep round cake pan
Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F (160°C fan forced). Lightly grease and line cake pan.Empty cake mix into a bowl. Add eggs, butter and milk. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until combined then 2 minutes on medium speed.Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. Allow to stand in pan for 5 minutes before inverting onto a rack to cool.Place contents of icing mix sachet into a small mixing bowl. Add butter and milk. Using an electric mixer, mix on low speed until ingredients are combined. mix on medium for 2 minutes. Spread prepared icing over top of cooled cake.
